What are the benefits to your company?
Current Health and Safety regulations require companies to provide all employees
who regularly use VDU screens with a full eye examination from a qualified optometrist
and basic VDU glasses if required for VDU use. The Screen Safe package meets
both these requirements for just £15, it’s simple too, with no cumbersome bureaucracy.
Just issue the voucher to your employee or to ease your administration burden, allow your employees online access via our secure website and we’ll do the rest. Even staff who do
not need VDU glasses can get discounts on glasses at no extra cost to you.
What does the employee receive?

(A member of staff having a sight test and requiring glasses for VDU use purchasing
from the £99 range and using the Friends and Family voucher can get two pairs of standard
single vision prescription glasses for £59* a saving of £50**). Staff not requiring
prescription glasses solely for VDU use can still benefit from the savings offered
by the Friends and Family vouchers.
VDU pre-screening
If you choose the Screen Safe package we can pre-screen your staff for VDU eligibility
free of charge. This means you only get requests for vouchers from staff who qualify
for support under HSE regulations. Please contact your account manager for details.
How does it work?
- Register your company to the scheme.
- Companies will be issued with two passwords: one administrator account password and one company-specific password to pass on to employees. For the Screen Safe scheme employers can select and customise a set of pre-qualifying questions for their employees to answer.
- Employees use the company-specific password to register their details.
- Employees can view which voucher/s they are entitled to and either print them off or have them sent to the assigned line manager or key contact FREE OF CHARGE.
- Employees redeem their voucher/s in store.
- We invoice companies ONLY for the vouchers redeemed on a monthly basis.
- We send companies regular usage reports.
