Amy He, author of top fashion blog Dolls Are United, has pulled together some stylish summer outfits based on her favourite frames available at TescoOpticians.com!
These days glasses are becoming a regular styling accessory when putting together outfits. With more affordable and fashionable frames becoming available all over the high street, there's no need to just buy one safe pair of specs when you can have a collection!
At work there are probably more people wearing glasses for practical reasons rather than fashionable ones! However when you're sitting in front of a computer screen all day or meeting clients, there's no reason why you can't stand out and impress. Instead of opting for the plain designs, why not choose something a little different like these sophisticated thin gold hued rounded frames from Retro 54. I've teamed them with an on-trend pastel pink leather pencil skirt from River Island, a contrast monochrome polka for blogs from New Look and finally some pastel green pointed courts from Topshop. I really love the Art Deco design of the frames and this is the perfect outfit to go from work to evening drinks with colleagues.
Whether it's lunch with the partner or shopping with the girls you can feel confident that your glasses are definitely complimenting your outfit with these lovely two-toned frames from Lipsy. I've never worn glasses that feature more than one colour but these ones are quite subtle. I've styled them with a beautiful oriental floral shirt dress from Topshop, some espadrilles sandals and a classic watch which are both from F&F at TESCO. Florals and colour block are always trending in S/S so this outfit hits the mark for a smart-causal summer ensemble!
Boho and folklore is a massive theme this Spring/Summer and a great look for those wanting to be a little more casual. Sundays are meant for spending time with the family or even relaxing with a good book. The glasses I've chosen for a casual lazy Sunday are these tortoise half frames by Retro 54. This style is always a winner for me because I love the classic tortoise print, it's a safe but very stylish option! The outfit I've teamed them with features some mosaic tile printed joggers from Topshop along with a delicately embroidered bohemian style blouse from New Look teamed with some simple folk inspired beaded bracelets from ASOS.
This summer if you're heading to the British Seaside or soaking up some Mediterranean sun overseas then I'd definitely recommend these vintage inspired sunnies from Lipsy. You can grab them at a steal for just £30. For a retro inspired holiday look wear them with this classic sultry red bikini from River Island and a printed canvas best bag from ASOS. To finish off the look, grab a pair of Juju jellies in transparent glitter; they're super popular this summer and there's nothing wrong with a bit of childhood nostalgia!
You can pick up all these glasses at TescoOpticians.com or by visiting your local Tesco Opticians branch.
