If you’ve been thinking about buying some new frames for 2016 but haven’t yet had time to visit one of our Opticians departments in-store, why not do it online instead?
Buying frames online is now just as easy as buying in-store, and for people with busy lifestyles it can be a whole lot more convenient!
Follow these 4 simple steps and your new frames will be winging their way to your local Tesco Opticians department in no time.
We stock hundreds of different glasses and sunglasses from over 35 brands, so there are plenty of different styles and price ranges to choose from!
Click ‘Prescription Glasses’ and then filter the results using the options on the left-hand side to quickly find the perfect pair of frames for you.
Our website is easy to view on any size screen, so whether you’re browsing on a PC during your lunch hour at work, on your mobile phone on the train, or using your tablet at home, you can go shopping for your new glasses whenever is convenient for you!
Worried about whether those quirky frames you’ve picked out will actually suit you once you collect them? Our Frames on Me feature allows you to virtually try on as many different glasses as you like, meaning that when you click ‘buy’ you’ll be doing so with confidence!
You can even share your new look with your friends on Facebook or Twitter to get their opinion on which frames suit you the best.
Trying glasses on using a computer with a webcam
The ‘Fit Live’ feature on Frames on Me allows you to use a webcam to try glasses on. Fit Live works just like looking in a mirror, as you turn your head you’ll be able to see on-screen how the glasses look on you from any angle.
Trying glasses on using a phone, tablet or computer without a webcam
If you’re on a smaller device or don’t have a webcam you can still try on glasses by uploading a photo of yourself and selecting the ‘Fit Photo’ option.
You’ll need a valid prescription that’s still in date to order your new glasses online. If you don’t have one please book a FREE* eye test appointment
before trying to order your glasses.
If you’ve got your prescription and it’s still valid then great, let’s get your details entered!
Once you’re happy that you’ve chosen the perfect pair of frames just pop them in your basket and then click ‘view basket’.
You’ll now be taken to a page that asks you to choose your lenses and enter your prescription. Use our lens guide if you’re not too sure which lenses are right for you.
To tell us your prescription, enter the values from your paper prescription into the corresponding boxes online, simple!
Here’s an example:
If you’re not sure about any of the values just hover your mouse over the question mark for more information.
Once you’re happy that you’ve entered all your prescription details correctly it’s time to pay and complete your purchase.
