You work as a fashion designer, do you think this sets you apart from other style bloggers?

I think all fashion bloggers are different so that’s why it's really nice to read a good variety of blogs. I design menswear and I think this contributes to my "tomboy-ish" style. The main perk though is having access to trend forecasts and catwalks for outfit inspiration. Street style blogs are my main source of inspiration for both work and my own personal style.

What draws you to a new pair of glasses or sunglasses?
I love frames that are a little different and I've always loved retro shapes since I stole my mum's 80's wayfarers when I was in high school. Sunglasses and glasses are timeless and can really pull an outfit together.

What is your favourite outfit so far that you've styled with your glasses?
I love wearing them to work when I have meetings and want to feel a bit more important. I normally style them with a plain white T, some black skinny jeans, a long mac and some New Balance trainers.

You work in menswear, what eyewear styles would you recommend our male readers to invest in for 2014?
I love a man in glasses so..... ANY (I'm looking at you Carl from Love Actually). I think a strong tortoise shell frame with a retro shape suits most men and looks really classic. The Retro54 09 frame is an ideal shape for both men and women.

What inspired you to start Fashion Fade?
I was pretty bored when I graduated from university and wanted a new creative outlet. It was something that started off as a hobby and I've always just done it for fun, but it's nice to see that people actually read and enjoy my ramblings now!

How will you be styling your glasses this spring?
I think glasses are the perfect spring accessory. I'll be mixing them with cosy jumpers and black ankle boots.
